After fifty orbits around the sun, I’ve been educated in art and design, then screenwriting, but from an early age I’ve enjoyed inventing stories for the cinema inside my skull.
My published work has included arts journalism for Leeds ‘Event’ newspaper from 1994-97, then The Big Issue In The North 1997-2000.
Birobasher (named after how many of the things I get through) posts reviews of film, television, literature and theatre, plus live music and the occasional art exhibition. My own short works (poetry, stories) will be posted here too. Please feel free to post your reactions to my work, it mitigates the desolation of the howling digital void.
My main ambition is to finish things.
